Our Quality & Testing Standards
Quality is not a slogan—it’s a repeatable checklist. This page explains what we check, why it matters, and what we reject before any order is dispatched.
Why Quality Control Matters
Two products can look similar in photos but feel completely different in daily wear. QC reduces the risk of common issues like misalignment, rough finishing, inconsistent bracelet feel, or avoidable functional problems.
Our goal is consistency: you should receive a piece that matches the listing, meets baseline standards, and performs as expected.

Materials We Look For (And Why)
Materials affect durability, finishing, and how the watch feels on-wrist. We prioritize stable materials and clean finishing rather than “flashy” descriptions.
Case & Bracelet Metal
Consistent finishing, smooth edges, uniform brushing/polish transitions, and comfortable articulation.
Crystal
Clarity, coating consistency, and clean fitment to reduce glare and improve readability.
Bezel / Insert
Alignment, click feel (if applicable), and uniform color/printing with clean edges.
Case, Bracelet & Clasp Checks
Most comfort complaints come from bracelet feel, clasp engagement, and rough finishing. Our checks focus on the parts you interact with every day.
- Alignment: bezel/marker symmetry (when applicable) and centered dial print.
- Edge finishing: no sharp edges on lugs, clasp corners, or bracelet links.
- Bracelet articulation: smooth link movement and comfortable drape on wrist.
- Clasp engagement: consistent close, clean lock, and stable open/close feel.
- Weight & feel: check for unusual imbalance or rattling that indicates poor assembly.
Functional Inspection
A watch can look great and still disappoint if setting feels rough or functions behave inconsistently. We focus on practical checks that reduce “day-one” issues.
- Hand-setting feel: smooth time-setting without grinding or abnormal resistance.
- Date change (if present): consistent turnover behavior and correct alignment in the window.
- Winding feel: stable feel without excessive noise or “slipping” sensation.
- Basic timekeeping sanity check: ensure the watch runs reliably after checks.

Water Resistance: Practical Expectations
“Water resistant” can mean different things depending on assembly, gaskets, and handling over time. We encourage realistic expectations and careful use—especially with frequent temperature changes or heavy water exposure.
- Avoid hot showers/steam (heat can affect seals over time).
- Ensure the crown is fully secured before any water exposure.
- If you plan frequent water use, ask us first so we can advise the safest option.

What We Reject (And Why)
Rejection criteria is how standards become real. If a piece fails the baseline, it doesn’t ship.
Cosmetic Issues
Visible misalignment, uneven printing, noticeable finishing defects, or poor fitment.
Function Problems
Setting issues, inconsistent date change (if present), abnormal noise or instability.
Bracelet & Clasp Faults
Sharp edges, unreliable clasp engagement, or rough articulation that affects comfort.
